Will I make the cutoff?

Translate one exact result—or a relevance-weighted set of saved finishes—into a cautious target range. Race For You accounts for distance, climbing, terrain, format, exposure and the quality and agreement of your evidence.

A range is more honest than a fake exact finish time.

Understanding the output

A fictional cutoff example

The calculator translates a completed result into an experimental range for a supported target edition. Use an exact catalogue edition or known manual course facts, with elapsed finish time. Missing course facts and unsupported formats may prevent an estimate; they are not filled with invented values.

For illustration only, suppose an imaginary runner completed a continuous trail 50km with 1,000m ascent in seven hours, technicality 4/10 and unknown night exposure. This is not a real person’s history. The unchanged current model compares it with Tweed Valley Ultra 50K, 2026.

Range before cutoff

“Range before cutoff” describes only the calculated interval’s position, not validated accuracy or a likelihood of finishing. Input-evidence grades describe the model’s inputs, not personal readiness. Training, health, conditions, navigation and time at checkpoints may put an actual finish outside this range. Overall allowance does not replace the organiser’s intermediate deadlines.
