Surface source (opens in a new tab) checked 15 September 2026. The organiser describes the half-specific extension along Mancunian Way and Ashton Old Road before rejoining Chester Road and the Deansgate finish. The named highway route provides defensible Road evidence. Half-specific extension is explicitly distinguished from the shared 10k sections. No classification borrowed from a different distance alone.
