Next edition
This is the most relevant confirmed edition currently held for the permanent race family. Edition-specific facts should still be checked against the final organiser instructions.
Expand an edition to inspect its year-specific facts. Other years never replace the primary edition facts.
These facts belong to the 2026 edition only. Missing values have not been copied from another year.
The official 2026 event guide verifies the 25 July start, 100-mile route, 48-hour pacing plan, nine pit stops and overnight format. Its organiser-linked final GPX reports 1,537.95m elevation gain, stored as an approximate 1,538m because live safety diversions can differ. The end date is derived from the stated 48-hour window; entry price remains unknown.

Hard
Moderate evidence confidence · 69% evidence coverage
This score is driven most by substantial race distance. Difficulty V2's separate time-limit modifier adds 0.00 points here and is capped at 0.70; a broad limit cannot erase extreme intrinsic demand. This is independent of the public Cutoff Pressure V2 band.
Course analysis
Expect largely runnable, non-technical surfaces.
Cutoff analysis
To finish inside 48h, the raw average required is 18:00 per kilometre (28:58 per mile), including every stop.
Cutoff pressure compares the published time limit with distance, ascent and verified course demands. Lower pressure does not mean the race is easy. Raw pace includes checkpoints, food stops, navigation errors and any sleep; it is not a pacing plan.
Because ascent is not verified, Cutoff Pressure V2 uses the model's neutral 20m/km reference density. This assumption does not fill the ascent value or make missing evidence look easy.
Who this suits
A realistic target for a prepared runner with some trail or ultra experience, but not the softest possible introduction to the distance.
5.5/10 suitability
Navigation
The route is described as marked, but runners should still read the final race instructions.
Exposure & kit
Significant overnight running is likely for many entrants. Lighting, temperature management and sleep strategy can materially affect the outcome.
Personal race predictor
No current compatible predictor target is available for this family. The selected edition may be complete or cancelled, awaiting a successor, non-standard, or missing model-critical course evidence; older facts are not substituted.
Practical detail
Logistics are only shown where currently recorded. Confirm parking, transport, crew access and final aid-station plans with the organiser.
Latest verification
The official event page verifies the 24–26 July 2027 dates, 160K distance, 48-hour window, full waymarking/support and £339 price. Elevation and 2027-specific pit-stop locations remain unpublished and were not copied from 2026.
Still unverified: elevation.
Event details can change after a successful source check. Confirm the final route, kit, cutoff, price and entry terms directly with the organiser before entering or travelling.
